Abstract
The rationale behind the NASA-ASI Outreach Workshop is presented and cooperation between NASA and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) is detailed. The Workshop was a product of a NASA/ASI working group established to identify potential areas of cooperation. Other areas of cooperation identified are to promote interest in Space Life Sciences research and cooperative relationships between ASI and European Space Agency members.
